This is a type specimen book I created to showcase the typeface Dapifer. Dapifer is a new take on an “old style” slab serif designed by Joshua Darden at Darden Studio.

Featuring 18 fonts within this type family, Dapifer is a versatile typeface that can be used as display or body type and is able to happily exist in whatever universe you place it in.

To take advantage of its versatility, my inspiration for this type specimen book was indie movie posters and magazines, such as Wes Anderson films, and the publications, Disegno, Record Magazine, and Apartamento.

I incorporated all film photos, yellow type, and blues, pinks, and reds, I was able to achieve an “indie” aesthetic and show off this gorgeous typeface in all of its glory.
